The Anyware Smart Adaptor comes with pre-configured Scenes or Services, which are small ‘apps’ in the app that runs in the background. They monitor your home, prevent intrusion and notify you when you need to know! You don’t need to constantly control and check - that’s true ‘Smart Living’
Monitor your home or Vacation Home from anywhere via the Anyware App
The Anyware Smart Adaptor works with LED light bulbs only - we recommend dimmable LED light bulbs for the best user experience. If you fit a non-LED light bulb, the Anyware Smart Adaptor will prevent it from turning ON
With built-in sensors for temperature, humidity and sound, the Anyware Smart Adaptor is the ideal Room Sensor for most homes. Easy to install - easy to use!
You can add an extra layer of automation by enabling the Home/Away function in the Anyware App
You can press the lamp or wall switch two times - OFF and ON again - to operate the light bulb, thereby keeping the Anyware Smart Adaptor mains powered
A Scene or Service is a concept in the Anyware App that runs specific routines for you involving measurements, light control and sending notifications
We provide support for IFTTT and Amazon Alexa, so that you can connect your Anyware Smart Adaptors with other Smart Home devices
Connect the Anyware Smart Adaptor directly to your 2.4GHz Home WiFi network (we currently do not support 5GHz WiFi networks). No extra hub or WiFi gateway is needed
For use in North America (and other countries) - converting from E26 to E12/candelabra light bulb fittings
For use in Europe (and other countries) - converting from E27 to E14 light bulb fittings
Use Small Socket Type (E14 or E12/Candelabre)
We recommend to use a dimmable light bulb
Ideally, use a lamp that you can keep mains powered - for example a floor or table lamp that you can 'automate' with Anyware

Yes! Use LED light bulbs only.
We recommend dimmable LED light bulbs to enhance the functionality and value of the Anyware solution.
You can buy E14 LED light bulbs together with the Anyware Smart Adaptor on www.anyware.solutions or in most supermarkets and electrical shops.
If you fit another light bulb type than LED, you will not break the Anyware Smart Adaptors. It has an electronic switch to protect the electronics that will simply prevent the light bulb from turning ON if it uses more than 10W LED.
Hence, if your light bulb does not turn ON when you first install it, please check if you have in fact used an LED light bulb.
You can test it on the small transparent button on the front of the Anyware Smart Adaptors.
If it does not turn ON, and the Anyware Smart Adaptor otherwise seems to work and blink, you have most likely not fitted an LED light bulb or the LED light bulb is spec’ed above 10W LED. If so, please try another LED light bulb with less effect (Watt and lumen).
Yes! We have designed the Anyware Smart Adaptor™ with what we call a Double-Toggle™ light function.
It means that you can continue to use your existing light installation.
All you have to do is to try to get into the habit of flicking the switch twice instead of once to operate the light - i.e. switch it OFF and ON again within 1 second.
In that way the Anyware Smart Adaptor™ will remain mains powered, and will continue to measure your indoor climate and detect intrusion when you are away.
Even if you just press the wall or lamp switch ONE time and turn OFF the power - i.e. not using Double-Toggle™ - the Anyware Smart Adaptor™ will work fine when turned ON again.
But it will not be able to measure temperature, humidity and sound levels or work with Home/Away when turned OFF.
A Scene or Service is a concept in the Anyware App that runs specific routines for you involving measurements, light control and sending notifications.
It can be considered as a small ‘app’ in the app that runs in the background, and monitors your home, prevents intrusion and notifies you when you need to know!
The Anyware Smart Adaptor comes with pre-configured Scenes or Services that you can find in the Anyware App under ‘Scenes’.
A yellow Scene icon signals that the Scene is now ‘activated’ and will run according to its setpoints.
You can always manually ‘override’ an activated (yellow) Scene by tapping the icon and turn it back to black.
Think of the Anyware Smart Adaptors™ as a ‘Room Sensor’.
Its built-in sensors for temperature, humidity and sound will cover a standard bedroom or kids room. If you install the Anyware Smart Adaptor™ in a larger living room for example, you can consider to fit an extra in the other end of the room.
You can of course easily move the Anyware Smart Adaptor™ to another lamp to find its best placement, which also depends on the way you want to use it.
If you want to use it primarily as an indoor climate monitor, be mindful to not place it close to other heating or cooling appliances, in direct sunlight, or similar.
If you want it to primarily help you prevent burglary, you should consider placing it close to potential entry areas for a burglar, so that the sound sensor can detect intrusion, and/or visible from outside when it turns your light ON and OFF to make your home look occupied.
These benefits are of course not mutually exclusive, as you get everything in the Anyware Smart Adaptors™, but you may experience more useful measurements when mindful about its placement.
No! The built-in sound sensor does not record anything.
It merely detects changes in the sound level measured in decibel (dB).
As such, it provides a simple sound trigger, which we can turn into a more advanced sound sensor through machine learning algorithms.
But its simplicity is fully intended, as many people feel unsafe about their data privacy.
We are obviously fully GDPR compliant, and you can read more about data privacy policy here.
Your Smart Adaptor will automatically and constantly calibrate the sensor measurements to its surroundings, but if you move the device or significant changes in temperature and/or humidity otherwise occur, a manual recalibration can be necessary to ensure correct measurements.
Please follow these steps to perform a manual recalibration:
It’s easy to get started with the Anyware Smart Adaptor™.
Make sure you have an E14/E12/candelabra type LED light bulb in front of you, and follow this simple step-by-step guide: Getting Started Guide (LINK).
Click this link if you are not sure which type of lamp socket is used in your country (E27 or E26).
Once you have download the Anyware App™ in Google Play Store or Apple App Store, create a new user, and just follow the instructions in the app.
They will take you through creation of your ‘Location’ (e.g. ‘Home’), pairing and connection to your home WiFi router in a few minutes.
And then you are ready to enjoy the Smart Living benefits of the Anyware solution.
The Anyware Smart Adaptor is directly fitted into your lamp socket.
Depending on your country of residence, you will typically use either E27 or E26 type lamp sockets.
Chose the Anyware Smart Adaptor that fits your lamp socket type here.
Europe and most other countries use E27, except from US, Canada, Mexico, Japan and others in the map that use E26.
A yellow Scene icon signals that the Scene is now ‘activated’ and will run according to it’s setpoints.
You can always manually ‘override’ an activated (yellow) Scene by tapping the icon and turn it back to black.
Yes, each Scene can be customized to your preferences via setpoints. You can change the setpoints of each Scene by editing the Scene in the Anyware App
The Anyware App gives you insights on the indoor climate measurements (e.g. temperature and humidity levels) in your home/second home, and we qualify these measurements with simple labels (for example humidity: uncomfortable, good, high, ventilate the room) and color coding (green, yellow, red), so that you can get an instant sense of your indoor climate.
Additionally, we will notify you inside and outside the app if your pre-defined indoor climate thresholds are exceeded (these are set in the Indoor Climate Monitoring Scene). The default thresholds have been defined by indoor climate experts, but you can customize these Scene thresholds to your preferences any time.
No. You can continue use your existing light switch with the Smart Adaptor!
All you have to do is to try to get into the habit of flicking the switch twice instead of once to operate the light - i.e. switch it OFF and ON again within 1 sec.
In that way the Smart Adaptor will remain mains powered, and will continue to measure your indoor climate and detect intrusion when you are away.
We call it Double-Toggle™
Even if you just press the wall or lamp switch ONE time and turn OFF the power - i.e. not using Double-Toggle™ - the Anyware Smart Adaptor™ will work fine when turned ON again.
But it will not be able to measure temperature, humidity and sound levels or work with Home/Away when turned OFF.
We have designed the Anyware Smart Adaptor™ with what we call a Double-Toggle™ light function.
It means that you can press the lamp or wall switch two times - OFF and ON again - to operate the light bulb, thereby keeping the Anyware Smart Adaptor™ mains powered.
Normally, you would flick your switch up once to turn OFF the light bulb, and down to turn it back ON.
With Double-Toggle™ you just do both in ONE operation: Up AND down or OFF and ON.
Why don’t you try it now!
Home/Away is a feature that you can choose to use, if you want Anyware to automatically ACTIVATE and DEACTIVE your Scenes. It’s an underpinning ‘state’ of the Scene, so you can still MANUALLY activate/deactivate the Scene.
You can always override an automatic Scene activation/deactivation in the app by tapping the Scene icon, so it turns black.
The icon will continue to show Home/Away icon (the small pin) to signal that Home/Away is still enabled, and will activate/deactivate the Scene the next time you leave or arrive.
If you share your login with your husband or wife or other household members (after they have installed the Anyware App™), Home/Away will take into account if someone is at home, when you leave, and NOT automatically activate e.g. the Intrusion Detection Scene.
Home/Away works as an automatic detection of when you (or rather your smartphone) are at home or away (or in or out of whatever ‘Location’ you have created).
It uses ‘geofencing’, which means that there is an invisible ring or fence around your Location, and whenever you move in or out of that ring, the Anyware system detects you as leaving or coming home.
The Anyware Home/Away function uses a unique and superior geofencing mechanism based on both your smartphone’s GPS location and its proximity to your Home WiFi.
We recommend that you have both GPS and WiFi enabled on your smartphone for the best Home/Away functionality.
For iPhone users: We recommend that you chose ‘Always’ when asked how you want you location service (GPS) to work on the smartphone. If not, you may experience slow geofence detections when the Anyware App™ runs in the background.
Under each Scene you can enable Home/Away, which means that the Scene will automatically ACTIVATE and DEACTIVATE when you leave or arrive at home (or whatever ‘Location’ you have created).
If you don’t find Home/Away in Scene Details, it’s because it’s not a relevant setpoint for the Scene.

We recommend that you have both GPS and WiFi enabled on your smartphone for the best Home/Away functionality.
If you use only one of the two mechanisms, your Home/Away function may work slowly or even give you false home or away detections when you activate/deactivate GPS location on your smartphone when at home.
If so, please check if any of your Scenes unintendedly activated or deactivated, and otherwise ignore the message.
For iPhone users: We recommend that you chose ‘Always’ when asked how you want you location service (GPS) to work on the smartphone. If not, you may experience slow geofence detections when the Anyware App™ runs in the background.
